Cayman Islands Vehicle History Registry
Nearly every car on the Islands arrived by ship — and its history stayed at the dock. Logbook brings it back: imports, insurance, inspections, finance and police records in one shared registry, checked free by anyone.
Enter the 17-character VIN, or the chassis (frame) number for a Japanese import.
What the report flags
Every time a vehicle's story changes, the registry re-reads the whole timeline and raises plain-language warnings. These appear at the top of every report:
How it works
Insurers, lenders, dealers, customs brokers, garages and the police each record the events they handle — imports, sales, policies, claims, inspections, finance, stolen reports — against the vehicle's VIN or chassis number.
Entries are append-only: corrected, never erased. The registry compares every source — a mileage reading lower than last year's, a live loan on a car being sold — and raises the warnings automatically.
The public report is free: the vehicle's public timeline, its warnings, and its odometer history. Check a Dealer confirms who you are buying from, and anything wrong can be disputed.
